HANDS ON GLOBAL ON THE GROUND IN UKRAINE
HOG has been operating in the Ukraine since March 9, 2022.  Each evening since then, the Ukrainian Health Ministry has contacted the HOG team lead and provides their next day’s schedule. The HOG Mobile Clinic is usually assigned to a strategic location to set-up its operation. This happens 6 days a week.

Primarily, the work consists of administering to the physical and mental health of the surging Internally Displaced People (IDP) from all over the Ukraine. Many are in a health crisis from acute anxiety and loss of medication for such conditions as diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and seizure. Locations are outlying villages and towns or the city of Chenvistzi.

HANDS ON GLOBAL URKAINE TEAMS
When HOG Ukraine Team #1 (Montana, Idaho, Colorado, Denmark) arrived on March 9, 2022 the emphasis was initially on dispersal of the many medical shipments and equipment arriving for the areas currently under siege. Along with many other NGOs (non-governmental operations) the team helped sort, package and ship tons of supplies to the areas of conflict.

HOG Ukraine Team #2  (Indiana, Norway) arrived on March 26 and has engaged primarily with the Mobile Medical Clinic as the volume of IDP’s and refugees have increased daily.

Team #3 (Norway, Canada, US: Georgia, Germany) is arriving on April 4 and will continue the Mobile Medical Clinics’ work of taking the medicines, equipment and doctors/nurses to the people in greatest need.

DONATIONS ARE NEEDED BY HANDS ON GLOBAL

All HOG team members make donations to HOG to cover their expenses.  Thus, all other donations to HOG are used to purchase the necessary medical supplies, prescriptions and equipment to facilitate the teams’ treatment for the IDPs and refugees.  Some medicine and supplies are available from NGOs. However, it is necessary to buy vital medicines and medical supplies in the open market, i.e. pharmacies and medical supply companies.
