REFUGEE WORK
Future Projects
Lebanon ~ Beqaa Valley
Our medical team has been exploring the possibility of safely providing medical care in the Beqaa Valley. Lebanon hosts the largest number of refugees per capita in the world. The UNHCR estimates there are 1.5 million Syrian refugees present in the country, more than 17,000 refugees from Iraq, 200,000 Palestinian refugees and many refugees from Sudan. The country is currently a failed state and suffering economic devastation. The refugees are facing extreme poverty, lacking adequate food shelter and medical care.
We have been discussing providing medical care there with several other NGOs we have collaborated with before. It is our hope to organize a mobile medical clinic in the Beqaa Valley on the Syrian border.
