URGENT APPEAL FOR SYRIA
Please Help!
Our dear colleague Omar Alshakal of Refugee4Refugees is on the ground in Syria, witnessing firsthand the massive devastation and suffering. The situation is dire: critical infrastructure is in ruins, and food and medical supplies are desperately scarce.
Omar is based in Deir ez-Zor, where the need is overwhelming. Hands On Global has been supporting food distribution efforts in this region, but the scale of the crisis far exceeds available resources.
Syria has been largely forgotten after so many years of war. But the people are still there. Still suffering. Still in need.
Please help. Your donation can mean the difference between hunger and nourishment, between despair and hope.
Donate today. Stand with Syria.
Thank you for standing with us, for the people of Syria, and for the urgent work ahead.
🙏 Please, donate today.
Let the people of Syria know they are not forgotten.
Share kindness, spread hope.
Thank you.

Syria: A Call for Compassion & Urgency
In the heart of the ongoing crisis, our colleague Omar Ashakal continues to work tirelessly in Deir Ezzor, Syria. Hands On Global has been supporting a vital kitchen that provides nutritious meals to those in desperate need. As Syria works towards some semblance of stability after years of devastating civil war, the challenges are overwhelming. The infrastructure is in ruins, with most places lacking access to potable water, food shortages are widespread, the economy is in shambles, and political unrest remains a constant threat. These people have endured unimaginable suffering for far too long.
The needs are dire, and our commitment to this cause has never been stronger. We are currently working on sending a container of essential hospital supplies to Deir Ezzor, with the goal of helping to rebuild a hospital that is critical to the survival of so many. However, our work is not without immense challenges. Due to the sanctions on humanitarian aid imposed by the USA, it has become incredibly difficult to navigate the process of getting assistance into the country. Yet, we are unwavering in our mission to find a solution—because the need is too great to ignore.
To circumvent the sanctions, we are exploring a path that involves transporting the supplies to a neighboring country, from where they can then be safely transported across the border into Syria. This approach, though necessary, significantly increases the costs and logistical challenges, but it is a step we must take to help those who are in urgent need of medical care and supplies.
Our medical team is on standby, waiting for a safe time to enter Syria and provide essential care to those who have been suffering for so long. The urgency of the situation cannot be overstated—these are lives on the line, and we cannot turn our backs on them.
In the face of these challenges, we are calling on the compassion and generosity of all who can help. The people of Syria have endured unimaginable hardship, and the need for aid, both immediate and long-term, is greater than ever. We are committed to continuing this work, but we cannot do it alone.
If you can offer your support—whether through donations, spreading the word, or any other form of assistance—it will make an extraordinary difference in the lives of those who are fighting for survival. The road ahead is long, but together, with compassion and determination, we can help rebuild what has been lost and provide hope for a brighter future.
Thank you for standing with us, for the people of Syria, and for the urgent work ahead.
