Oct 25: Hope in the Faces of Children

Moria is full of resiliency, and it is never more evident than in the children: the smiles on their faces, their quickness to hug and play ball, their eagerness to dance and learn english and math. These kids are the future, a generation that will grow up displaced from their homelands, but because of tremendous sacrifice from their parents, will be alive to grow up.

I see quiet desperation on the faces of the parents of sick kids in Moria. Medical care is not easy to access for them. Medecins sans Frontieres provides pediatric services along with us, but long lines, hours waiting, and only 2 small clinics for 10,000 patients. There is also food shortage, looming cold of winter, and constant threat of violence.
